In this paper, the research status of topology and control strategy of energy storage grid-connected system is analyzed, and aiming at the working characteristics of the repurposed battery, a cascade power electronic transformer (CPET) with independent DC output is proposed. +e working principle of current fed isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter (CF-IBDC) and cascaded H-bridge (CHB) is analyzed, and the decoupling control strategy is designed. In this paper, a hierarchical control strategy is designed for the repurposed battery energy storage (RBES) grid-connected system based on CPET, which consists of three layers: energy layer, power layer, and state of charge (SOC) layer. +e energy layer responds to active and reactive power scheduling instructions, the power layer controls the grid-connected current and tracks the grid voltage, and the SOC layer equates the charged state of repurposed batteries. A 3 MVA/12 kV three-phase grid-connected simulation system was established, and a 1kW single-phase system experiment platform was designed. +e simulation and experimental results can verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the feasibility of the control strategy....
In order to survive in this modern world, electricity is an essential thing. Electricity allows us to power the technology we use every day. Without electricity, people can’t imagine their lives. As a developing country, Bangladesh still lacks electricity every day. The electricity supply to the rural areas is very poor. It is known that energy can be converted from one form to another form. As noise is the energy, it can also be converted into various forms of energy. Noise can be represented as a sound that is loud or unpleasant and causes disturbances such as street traffic sounds, construction sounds, airports, etc. Using a suitable transducer, noise (sound) energy can be transferred into a viable source of electricity generation. This can be accomplished by employing a transducer and converting noise-induced vibrations into electrical energy. Our main goal is getting enough energy, reducing the pressure of the main grid of electricity and decreasing fossil fuel imports. This paper presents the design and investigation of an energy harvesting system from noise. In this paper, an application is designed to get energy from noise by using a speaker as a transducer. Voltage has been stepped up by using a transformer, a diode which gives DC value which can be tapped into a battery and provide energy from the battery when it is needed. The embedded device was initially tested by clapping hands and tested further by using car horns. The vibrations created by car horns and other noises have been converted into electrical energy through the principle of electromagnetic induction. In total, the application produced optimal results of 0.5 - 1.0 volts which were stepped up using a transformer while maintaining the whole system being low cost and user-friendly....
When a photovoltaic (PV) system is connected to the electric power grid, the power system reliability may be exposed to a threat due to its inherent randomness and volatility. Consequently, predicting PV power generation becomes necessary for reasonable power distribution scheduling. A hybrid model based on an improved bird swarm algorithm (IBSA) with extreme learning machine (ELM) algorithm, i.e., IBSAELM, was developed in this study for better prediction of the short-term PV output power. *e IBSA model was initially used to optimize the hidden layer threshold and input weight of the ELM model. Further, the obtained optimal parameters were input into the ELM model for predicting short-term PV power. *e results revealed that the IBSAELM model is superior in terms of the prediction accuracy compared to existing methods, such as support vector machine (SVM), back propagation neural network (BP), Gaussian process regression (GPR), and bird swarm algorithm with extreme learning machine (BSAELM) models. Accordingly, it achieved great benefits in terms of the utilization efficiency of whole power generation. Furthermore, the stability of the power grid was well maintained, resulting in balanced power generation, transmission, and electricity consumption....
Used tyres pose a threat to the environment, especially in developing countries, since the current disposal methods lead to environmental pollution. Pyrolysis liquid from used tyres can be used as a source of fuel to replace petroleum diesel. Microwave pyrolysis is an alternative valorization process that is supposed to save energy and, therefore, is environment friendly. In the current study, microwave pyrolysis was used to produce liquid fuel. Processing variable levels for microwave were power levels of 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, and 100%; the reaction times were 8, 13, 18, 23, and 28 minutes; and the particle sizes were 25, 50, 100, and 200mm2. Design-Expert 13 was used for data analysis and optimization, and GC-MS was used for chemical composition analysis, while physiochemical properties were tested using standard methods. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to study the effects of operating variables and identify the points of optimal yields. For microwave pyrolysis, the highest liquid yield of 39.1 wt. % was at 50% power, 18 min reaction time, and particle size of 25mm2. The yield decreased as the particle size increased. RSM gave conditions for optima in agreement with the experimental results. The calorific value for liquid fuel was 48.99 MJ/kg. GC-MS analysis showed that the oil comprised complex mixtures of organic compounds with limonene, toluene, and xylene as major components. The liquid fuel properties meet the required international standards and can be used as an alternative to diesel fuel....
This paper proposes a desktop wireless power transfer system that can wirelessly supply power to electrical equipment in a certain space above the aluminum foil using only a high-frequency electric field. Compared with other wireless power supply systems, this system has a smaller power receiving device and a wider power supply range, which is convenient for wireless power supply of portable electrical equipment and low-power electric vehicles. The power receiving device of the system is only the size of a mobile phone, and the power supply range can reach 1.2 m2. This article introduces the system design, electromagnetic field simulation and experiment of the desktop wireless power transfer system. The experimental results show that by using a mobile phonesized receiving device to connect a light bulb and a fan, multiple loads can simultaneously receive power in a specific space above the desktop power supply. In addition, people can hold the power receiving device for wireless charging....
